Unity and Animation

Been trying to get back into Unity and figuring things out with all the new updates. Best way I’ve found so far to get animations in is still using the Legacy system, and even then, there’s some caveats here and there as to how to get things working. Right now my process for this little demo in XSI was basically to plot my animation on all the objects using fcurve interpolation, (just branch-selecting and then selecting child nodes), then export using Crosswalk to 2013 FBX format and bringing that in. Totally screws up the animation in XSI though; my next step is to automate this process and make it non-destructive.

Unity dev team, you really need to update your documentation files, they’re not very useful to artists as-is. Especially with all the new features relating to blendshapes and such.
