Just in case you were wondering.

See, I yet again have proof!

Very, very, long

My current state of events is. Or are, depending on which planet you live on.

It’s been a while recently since I’ve actually managed to wake up at a normal, resounding hour of the dawn. Instead, I’ve been essentially pigging out both in terms of food and sleep. I haven’t even gone on the course for about a month now, and already I can see the side effects streaming in. The A&W I drink nearly daily doesn’t help much, either.

Perhaps this is a phase of sorts. Funny, I never really got what all the hype about puberty was about. So what if your dick is two times its size? Not that big an issue, unless your pants are like those you’ve been wearing since pre-pre-pre school or something.

What am I talking about?

Give Me Pause

To gather my thoughts into something corrigible.

I have been, if you will scroll down, making short, tardy posts as of late, with no real substance to them, or filled with inconsistent messages. I apologize. The problem of schoolwork and computer work has been at a head for the preceding few weeks. (Of course, it is an inevitable exucse for utter, pure laziness.) But somehow, the end of August is arriving, news has not been posted, and before the month ends, I’d like one last chance to gather and filter the necessary information that should be enshrined in hypertext on some nameless FTP server forever. Hopefully.

I Have Disappear...

Rest assured it is not anything permanant.

I have recently concluded my tour of the World Cyber Games 2006 Asian Championships tournament held at Suntec City, Halls 601 – 602 on 10th – 13th August. As usual, I have a little Photobucket album filled with snapshots of the event. I must say, though, I was sorely disappointed by the entirety of the event; most of the talent I saw there, especially in Counter-Strike (I can’t speak much for DoTA as I don’t play Warcraft 3) was absolutely horrific as to be shocking. Granted, the mice they provided us free tournament entrees was similar to what I owned perhaps ten years ago, but when someone manages to flash himself both times with his 2 flashbangs, it makes you question how the fuck he actually managed to get resgistered in the open tournament category in the first place.

CG Overdrive 200...

A new event of sorts I had the fortune to chance upon, CG Overdrive 2006 opens tomorrow till Sunday at the Singapore Expo exhibition theatre halls A – F, and I am, of course, poised with my D50 to attend this potentially exciting event. While registration is indeed a painful price, I most likely will not be officially registering as a student; I will instead attend the clinics for various subjects such as MAX, MAYA, Zbrush (a wish come true), which are purported to be of free admission, that one phrase which instantly lights up my fire, anytime, anywhere.

For those of you pitiful souls who have no idea of the immense scale of this event, let’s just throw in a few names like Andrew Gordon, Carlos Baena (both from Pixar), Daniel Martinez Lara (MAX users should know him), announce the intention of traning sessions oriented towards complete idiots, and I do believe we have a winner of an event!

I can barely contain my sheer excitement.

As you can probably guess, first thing after school ends tomorrow, I’m on the first train heading to Singapore Expo, alone. Too bad. I could have used the company; but apparently no one else in this shithole shares my enthusiasm for this kind of events. In any event, perhaps it’s better that way; I don’t need an incessecent stream of questions directed at me during the clinics.

I’ll probably have a Photobucket album full of pics uploaded tomorrow, assuming everything goes according to plan and the admission is really free. I’ve had enough unpleasant experiences with that kind of situation to last a lifetime.

While we’re talking about CG news here, why not include a little tidbit I scraped from CGSociety about the first-ever engine to support realtime global illumination with subsurface scattering support?

Now my day is made.

So Apparently...

Sitesled has been down for a while again.

A lot has transpired in the intervening days, with my only regret it being occuring during the most inopportune of times. But let’s start with a bright note for once.

The PC Show 2006 opened here in Singapore, Suntec City, convention halls 601-603. Boasting 70 000 square feet of space, it promised to be an extravagant display of the latest technologies in the world.

It broke thy promise.
