Does this mean that my hopes of actually getting into a university dedicated to my preferred areas of study are finally being realized? Could this be the key in unlocking the door to fame, riches and long, arduous nights of sitting in front of a LCD screen with a Wacom, being sustained by mere coffee? (And I hate coffee, by the way.)

You know, it’s kind of weird, but somehow even though DigiPen says otherwise, I have a feeling that their Singaporean counterpart may not be as, for lack of a better adjective, glamourous as their Redmond counterparts. I realize that statement is kind of fallacious in every sense of the word, so I’ll leave it at that, but I’d like to point out that so far, every computer science club/lesson/activity I’ve joined in this country has had an overwhelming presence of retards, so I hope it’s understandable if I approach the thought of a local university based around such concepts with trepidation. I mean, at least when I talk to graduates/current students of DigiPen’s Redmond campus, they aren’t annoying, whiny, squeaky, and worst of all, obsessed with issuing challenges to see “who can write a better program”.
I shall not elaborate, but let me just say that that is an actual quotation, not something I conjured up to make this post any more sensationalist than it already is. Revolting, isn’t it?
Besides, I’ve worked at one-north (yes, that’s how it’s spelt) before during my brief internship at A*STAR, where this new fortress is supposedly being erected at, and while the place really is something to marvel at (meaning that its more psychedelic than anything else I’ve ever seen), I don’t think the area is, uh, conducive for a university environment. In any case, I’m pretty sure I’d prefer studying overseas anyway, given the hell that I am put through daily when stuck with the parade of dysfunctional clowns that could also be described as my family. Plus I’d get a chance to see just what my D50 can do in new locales.
Anyway, I’ve shot off an email to the address given; hopefully I’ll get a response from someone other than an automated spam bot filter which should help to answer a lot of my queries. In the meantime; what other universities have been setting up secret Asian embassies and not telling me about it?
