Are things that I very much look forward to in life, for the uncommon means that I am unprepared.
My main rig is more or less back up with all manner of software re-installed, though issues and hiccups with drivers and software alike threatened to drive me nuts. In conjunction with said achievement, I’ve updated my desktop wallpaper, something which was long in coming even before this recent wipeout.
It’s one of the brighter wallpapers that I’ve endorsed, but so far, my eyes haven’t burned themselves out, so I guess I’ll stick with it for now. Plus, it matches the colour of my Zen V Plus. Speaking of which, the bundled earphones that come with said MP3 player suck ass balls. I don’t know if Creative did this on purpose to encourage purchases of their other, much more palatable products or something, but for a company that proudly proclaims its catered needs to audiophiles, these earphones sure don’t sound like it.
It’s a good thing, then, perhaps, that being the audiophile I am, I actually have quite a few pairs of earphones on hand for my dastardly needs. However, none of them come in iPod white.
And before I forget, I found the most delightful piece of software while browsing around the Internet for stuff that I could stuff onto my Zen. Zenses allows this little trinket, or any other device, for that matter, supporting the MTP protocol, to scrobble the songs I’ve listened to my last.fm account. Pretty awesome, if you ask me. A lack of such records was actually one of the main reasons why I had refrained from getting a MP3 player or using my PSP as such a device.
My Common Tests begin promptly right after this momentary break of a week, and I must say, I am beginning to feel a slight tinge of worry cling to me. It’s most disconcerting; I may actually have to stop work on my other projects for a while to attend to such needs.
Today’s Gears of War tournament will commence in about 4 hours from the time this post is published, over at the Funan Centre atrium. Soon, we shall see where true champions lie. And whether or not I’ll be getting a free Xbox 360 out of the deal. I most sincerely doubt it, though; I imagine we’ll be lucky to even make it through the first match.
But not for lack of trying. I guarantee blood, whether it be pixelated or in full, unbridled realism. Those against us: you have been warned. Forewarned, if you will.
